Buffalo Cauliflower Bites

Vegan Buffalo Cauliflower Bites Recipe:


Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Yields: 3 Servings


Ingredients:

  • 1 medium cauliflower (wash and cut ‘trees’ off)
  • Hot sauce – use desired amount depending on how spicy you want it (I used Red’s vegan hot sauce)
  • ~ 50g bread crumbs (for more spice use Italian)
  • ~40g vegan butter
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper (desired amounts)

Method:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 180*C (fan oven)
  2. Cover a baking tray with foil
  3. In a mixing bowl, drizzle some EV olive oil over the cauliflower ‘trees’ then spread out evenly on the baking tray (add salt and pepper)
  4. Bake for ~10 minutes then turn over the ‘trees’ (keep an eye on them)
  5. Bake for a further 10 minutes
  6. Melt the butter and mix in the hot sauce (I didn’t measure, just tasted as I went until it looked orange)
  7. Dip the ‘trees’ in the butter mix and then coat in breadcrumbs then place them back on the baking tray
  8. Put the cauliflower back in the oven for a further 8-10 minutes (depending on how crisp you like them)
  9. Enjoy!
